Francisco was always a restless spirit, not happy or sated unless drawing or writing. In his youth he had the energy of a raging bull when it came to his creativity. His productivity was surpassed only by his ability to see beyond a white piece of paper, or a blank canvas.
Balboa Park art events, various galleries in La Jolla, Huntington Beach, Costa Mesa, were outlets for his earlier works which mainly consisted of pen & ink fine line drawings of portraits, old buildings, Native American scenes of old days, which seemed to be so much a part of his heritage.
Most of the pen & inks are now gone. Below is a collection of his recent Native American inspired works.
